Apple's FaceID has attracted plenty of attention since it replaced the fingerprint scanner on the iPhone X.

Now a Japanese developer named Kazuya Noshiro has used Apple's advanced face-tracking camera to remove his entire face.

The result is an app that creates a creepy, Harry-Potter style invisibility mask that follows your face.

In a ten-second clip posted to Twitter , Noshiro moves from side-to-side showing the contents of his home through his head.

According to Noshiro's tweets, he used a developer platform called Unity to create the weird app - although he didn't reveal whether or not it would be released to the general public.

The app works by shooting a background image from a fixed position and then uses motion tracking to superimpose it over the users' face.

It builds on Apple's augmented reality platform which is capable of putting digital illusions over the real world.
