Fake Gazette circulating

Members of the public are advised that the document currently being circulated with purported details of a public shut down is not an authentic one.

The Government of Barbados is advising members of the public that in any emergency situation, official information will be issued by the Barbados Government Information Service, which will be posted to its website www.gisbarbados.gov.bb and social media platforms Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @gisbarbados.

This information will also be disseminated to all credible and established news agencies.

Persons are reminded that under the Computer Misuse Act, it is an offence to tamper with an official document. (PR)
