Samsung remains the most popular TV brand on the planet and now there's a way to own one of these pin-sharp televisions without it breaking the bank. Argos has just announced the launch of a new deal that's offering a giant 50-inch 4K screen for just £299 - that's the store's 'lowest ever' price for this telly.

The offer is available on Samsung's UE50AU7020KXXU Smart 4K UHD HDR LED model which features impressive ultra HD visuals, Q-Symphony sound technology and an Auto Game Mode which helps boost things when switching on the PS5 or Xbox Series X.

This television also includes all of the most popular streaming apps which means you can watch shows on Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV+ without needing an additional set-top box. There's even a bunch of free things to watch via Samsung's TV Plus service.

It's a top-rated product with users scoring it 4.8 out of 5 on the Korean firm's reviews page. The deal is clearly proving very popular with Argos confirming that the UE50AU7020KXXU is "selling fast" and "in demand".

The only thing you need to be aware of before tapping the buy button is that this is a 2023 model. Samsung is about to unleash a whole new range of televisions this month which get improved picture quality, better sound and a more pin-sharp image thanks to a major update to its clever upscaling.

Another bonus will please anyone who loves viewing the Premier League at home. That's because Samsung's premium tellies now get a feature called AI Motion Enhancer Pro. This automatically detects what's on the screen and then uses deep learning to apply the proper ball detection model.

Finally, the overall look has been improved with something Samsung is calling an Infinity Air Design. This includes a screen which is now only 12.9mm in depth along with a unique mirror effect which makes it seem as if the TV hovering in its surroundings.

“Now that we are living through the hyper-connected era, it’s no longer just about delivering quality visual experiences. Displays should enhance our lives both on and off the screen,” said SW Yong, President and Head of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

The latest Argos deal is clearly cheap, just be aware that new tellies could make it look a little inferior.
