SEOUL, June 8 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics announced on June 8 the global launch of its new “Samsung Color E-Paper,” a next-generation digital signage solution that displays images without drawing power while maintaining the screen.

The 32-inch display, designed for commercial use, features QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440) with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Utilizing electronic ink technology, the screen consumes zero watts of power while retaining an image, and even during content updates, its energy consumption remains significantly lower than conventional digital signage.

Weighing just 2.5 kilograms—including its internal battery—and measuring only 8.6 millimeters at its thinnest point, the ultra-slim and lightweight design allows for flexible installation and portability.

Optimized with Samsung’s proprietary color imaging algorithm, the display delivers high visibility for content in various lighting conditions. It also supports real-time remote management through Samsung’s digital signage platform, VXT.

Jung Hoon, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, highlighted the product’s potential to reshape the commercial display market. “Samsung Color E-Paper is an innovative product that simplifies content management while offering ultra-low power performance and a sleek, lightweight design,” he said. “Its superior operational efficiency over analog solutions will drive new demand in the business sector.”

As Samsung continues its push into sustainable and smart display technologies in 2025, the Color E-Paper underscores its commitment to energy-efficient innovation.
