Haiti - Technology : 1st Edition of HAITI NUMÉRIQUE 2030
The Haitian Caribbean Information and Technology Organization (HACARABTECH), in partnership with "KonektHaiti", announces the first edition of HAITI NUMÉRIQUE 2030, which will take place in Cap Haitien at the Alliance Française du Cap-Haitien BD, Rue 15, at the Cap-Haïtien Professional School, 28-29 boulevard Cap-Haïtien and the Hôtel Satama on April 26th, 27th and 28th.

"Haïti Numérique 2030" is an opportunity to introduce computer programming to school audiences (North), young people, adults looking for work or retraining, and inform them and train them on training and trades of digital technology," said Henry Beaucejour, President of Hacarabtech.

"Haïti Numérique 2030", planned for 26-28 April 2018 at the Alliance Française Cap Haitien.

A hackathon, workshops and conferences on smart cities will punctuate this event that is carried out as part of the Promotion of digital, smart cities and the integration of the Science Tech Engineering & Math (STEM) program.

STEM Workshop1 by USA professors (KonektHaiti)
1) Introduce public and private schools to computer programming. A selection of useful resources (100 students, 20 different schools)

Workshop 2 STEM by USA professors (KonektHaiti)
2) Transmit the importance of computer programming (logic, critical thinking, potential future employment). Teaching the basics of coding and to the teachers of future lessons to continue to teach computer programming. (50 teachers in the North department)

3) HACKATHON by Marc-Arthur Pierre Louis Senior Software Engineer IBM USA: This event will identify the best developers and applications they will realize in the space of three days. (Intro python and Linux in Kreyol).
