TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Verizon Wireless has identified local cell service outages that have been affecting users’ ability to make calls; the outage has affected multiple regional emergency services and 911 dispatch centers.

The outage, according to a Verizon news release, started around 1 p.m. and continues at the time of publishing. Multiple public safety answering points (PSAPs) have been affected according to Sullivan County, including Crawford County 911, Henry County Emergency Services and Sullivan County 911.

Verizon said they are actively working to fix the outage but no changes have been made yet.
