The Town of White Hall is proud of its booming businesses and vibrant community, so we have listed upcoming New Business events. We hope to see you there to support these businesses in their openings, as well as in the future.

On Monday, April 22 at 3 p.m., That Yoga Studio located at Middletown Commons, Suite 147, will celebrate their six-month anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Sweet Magnolias Salon and Boutique, 14 Moran Circle, will have their grand opening on Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Raffles are being sold for high-end products and salon services at $2 each or 3 for $5. All proceeds from the raffles will benefit the Marion County Humane Society.

Town of White Hall’s newest car wash, Ultimate Shine Car Wash at Middletown Commons, will host a special grand opening event on Saturday, May 18. Be sure to attend to enjoy their promotional prices, merch and giveaways.

Family fishing day

The Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission will host Family Fishing Day, Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m.-Noon, at Guyses Run Fishing Pond. The event will culminate with a picnic for all children and families.

The fishing fee is waived that day for all kids and their parents who are participating in the event, and any child who participates will be permitted to keep up to 4 trout.

The Town of White Hall is a proud sponsor of Family Fishing Day and encourages residents to attend.

Medication disposal

Do you have unused or expired medication? Safely dispose of your meds Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. in the foyer drop box the White Hall Public Safety Building, 118 Tygart Mall Loop.

Free wellness class

The Town of White Hall support the health and wellness of its residents, so we’re offering free classes at the White Hall Public Safety Building.

Hosted by Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Renee Marsh, Brain Boosters Classes keeps the mind active with fun brain games and exercises.

The classes begin June 3 and continue every Monday for four weeks from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Pavilion rentals

The Town of White Hall is accepting rental applications for the pavilion next to the Public Safety Building. The pavilion is available to rent from May 4 to Oct. 5. Water, electricity, and bathrooms are available with your rental.

The cost to rent the pavilion is $50 with a $50 security deposit. Call 681-999-1205 or email townevents@townofwhitehallwv.org for more information and to rent the pavilion for your summer event.

2024 election

Election Days for 2024 are May 14 and Nov. 5.

Early Voting runs April 30-May 11 for the Primary Election. Early Voting runs Oct. 22-Nov. 2 for the General Election.

We ask that those of you who are voting at the Town of White Hall Public Safety Building enter through the back of the building where the signs are posted.

Blood drive

The American Red Cross will host a blood drive on Tuesday, May 28 from Noon-6 p.m. in the White Hall Public Safety Building Training Room, 118 Tygart Mall Loop.

Upcoming events

April 20 at 6 p.m., Spring Soiree at The White Hall Event Center hosted by the Tygart Valley United Way, this is your chance to support our 13 local libraries.

April 22 at 6 p.m., White Hall Town Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month in Council Chambers, 118 Tygart Mall Loop. Schedule may vary with holidays.

May 11, doors open at 9 a.m., Cars and Coffee Bridgeport will host “Morning at the Movies” at Tygart Valley Cinema. Watch “The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift” in the company of car enthusiasts. Tickets are $10 at the door, includes popcorn and drink.

May 18 from 7-11 a.m., Spring Cleanup Day. Bring your unwanted items to the White Hall Public Safety Building, 118 Tygart Mall Loop, for proper disposal.

May 25 at 9 a.m. White Hall Farmers & Artisans Market opening day. Please contact Kkirk@townofwhitehallwv.org for vendor applications.

July 13 from Noon-10 p.m., Community Music Festival at Middletown Commons. Ends with fireworks display.
