Royal baby names that pay tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip
By Karishma Sarkari|
The late Queen Elizabeth II and her late husband Prince Philip have eight grandchildren and more than 10 great-grandchildren.
And it seems many of the next generation of royal babies are honouring the beloved couple within their names.
The newest addition to the family, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's second daughter, is the latest to be named in tribute to the former matriarch of the family.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's oldest daughter is said to have been very close with her late grandmother and even donned one of Her Majesty's vintage dresses for her 2020 wedding to Edo.
So, it's no surprise the couple gave their daughter Athena the middle name of Elizabeth.
Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi shares the middle name with her older sister, who is named Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.
And the sisters aren't the only royal babies to inherit their great-grandmother's name.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter was also given the honour when she was born on June 4, 2021.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor takes her name from the Queen's nickname, which dates all the way back to when she was a princess and couldn't pronounce Elizabeth properly as a child.
It's understood Prince Philip referred to his wife by this name as well, however, the younger member of the Sussex family is commonly known as Lili, her parents said.
The couple also honoured Prince Philip by giving their children the surname Mountbatten-Windsor, which they also gave older son Archie Harrison.
Since King Charles III took to the throne, the brother and sister have inherited titles, now becoming Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The Sussexes aren't the only ones paying homage to the late couple, who were married for over 73-years.
Granddaughters Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall both gave their newborn sons the middle name Philip, in honour of the great-grandfather they'll never get to know.
Princess Eugenie's son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank and Zara's son Lucas Philip Tindall, were born in February and March 2021 respectively, just weeks before Prince Philip died on April 9.
In a recent documentary remembering the former Duke of Edinburgh, Eugenie revealed her grandfather did know her son was named in his honour.
"I brought little August to meet him and told him that we'd named him after him and it was such a lovely moment. We were very lucky to do that," the royal said, holding back tears.
Many other royals' names also include nods to the late monarch and her husband.
Zara, Princess Anne's daughter, named her second child Lena Elizabeth Tindall in June 2018. Lena shares the middle name with her mum whose full name is: Zara Anne Elizabeth Tindall
The eldest of her three children with former England Rugby player Mike Tindall, Mia Grace Tindall who was born in January 2014, doesn't include a nod to the Queen in her name.
Also paying tribute to her great-grandmother as well as late grandmother, Princess Diana, is the Prince and Princess of Wales's daughter, born in May 2015.
Prince William and Kate gave their only daughter the name Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
The couple's youngest son Prince Louis Arthur Charles, born in April 2018, has a link to his grandfather Prince Charles in his name.
While the eldest of the Wales clan, Prince George, who was born in July 2013, has the middle names Alexander Louis, in tribute to Queen Elizabeth – Alexander being the masculine of Alexandra, the Queen's middle name.
While the name Louis links to the Prince of Wales's full name: Prince William Arthur Phillip Louis.
Both of William and Kate's sons names also pay tribute to the Queen's father King George VI, who was born Prince Albert Frederick Arthur George.
Prince Charles also honours both his father and grandfather King George in his full name: Charles Philip Arthur George
The Queen's eldest great-grandchild, Savannah Anne Kathleen Phillips, is the daughter of her eldest grandchild, Peter Mark Andrew Phillips and ex-wife Autumn.
While Savannah (born in December 2010) doesn't have a link to Her Majesty in her name, she does honour her own grandmothers, Princess Anne and Kathleen McCarthy, with her middle names.
Peter and Autumn's younger daughter, born in March 2012, is named Isla Elizabeth Phillips.
Prince Harry honours his father and great-grandfather in his full name Henry Charles Albert David.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson gave their eldest daughter Princess Beatrice Elizabeth Mary a link to her grandmother in her name, while Princess Eugenie Victoria Helena paid homage to Queen Victoria in hers.

Their daughter Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary was born in November 2003 and son James Alexander Philip Theo was born in December 2007.
Like Prince Harry, the new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, gave their children the surname Mountbatten-Windsor.
