THE FLAMES BROKE OUT AROUND FOUR THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN EAST HEREFORD, QUEBEC, NEARLY 30 FIREFIGHTERS WERE CALLED TO THE SCENE, INCLUDING SOME FROM PITTSBURGH AND COLEBROOK. YOU CAN SEE THOSE MASSIVE FLAMES COMING OUT OF THE ROOF. OFFICIALS SAY THE FIRE STARTED IN A FISH SMOKER. OFFICIALS SAY ALL THE BUILDINGS WITH FISH IN THEM WERE SAVED AND ARE STILL UP AND RUNNING.

      Some New Hampshire firefighters responded to a fire at a fish farm in Quebec.Beecher Falls Volunteer Fire Department Chief Steve Young told News 9 they were called to the fire around 4 p.m. Thursday in East Hereford, Quebec. When they got there, they found a large commercial fish farm well involved with fire. The owner told firefighters the fire started in a fish smoker and he had attempted to put out the fire but was unsuccessful, Young said. >> Download the free WMUR app to get updates on the go: Apple | Google Play <<Firefighters from Pittsburg and Colebrook assisted at the fire.A small number of fish were lost in the fire but all the buildings containing the fish were saved and are up and working, according to Young. Young said most of the loss was retail and storage areas, and some machinery was also lost.

      Beecher Falls Volunteer Fire Department Chief Steve Young told News 9 they were called to the fire around 4 p.m. Thursday in East Hereford, Quebec.

      Firefighters from Pittsburg and Colebrook assisted at the fire.
