Firebird Light Opera brings comic operetta “Die Fledermaus” to the Nugget’s Celebrity Showroom

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Firebird Light Opera presents Die Fledermaus March 28 and 30 at the luxurious Nugget Celebrity Showroom in Sparks. Die Fledermaus, originally written in German by Johann Strauss II, is a comic operetta which has been translated into English so you can enjoy all the quips and splendor of this classic tale.

KOLO 8 Hana Altenburg spoke to the show’s director, Kim Harris, about the show. Then cast members Emily Smith (Adele), Donovan Ott-Bales (Eisenstein), Nicole Dzadek (Rosalinda) and Carol House on piano performed a song from the show.

Dates for “Die Fledermaus” are Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. Each guest will enjoy complimentary champagne during Act II to welcome you to join in the festivities. Click here for tickets.
