Police are investigating the alleged theft of around 75 sheep that have disappeared from a Welsh farm. The incident happened sometime between March 7 and March 17 on a farm near Newcastle Emlyn.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and remains in custody, while police have now issued an appeal to the public for any information which could help with their investigation. Stay informed on Carms news by signing up to our newsletter here.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are investigating after approximately 75 sheep have reportedly been stolen from a farm in Newcastle Emlyn. The lamb yearling ewes have gone missing from the Rhydlewis area. The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between March 7 and March 17, 2025.
"The sheep are described as being white faced with clean white wool with a faint yellow spot on them. They have the appearance of a continental cross ewe similar to a Texel cross. A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and remains in police custody.”
