High school girls lacrosse: Kingston improves to 2-0 with victory over Cornwall

KINGSTON, N.Y. — Chayse DeLisio and Brooke Longo combined for eight goals as Kingston High’s girls lacrosse team improved to 2-0 with a 19-6 non-league victory over Cornwall on Thursday at Dietz Stadium.

With DeLisio and Brooke Longo scoring four goals apiece, the Tigers cruised to their second straight easy win. Kingston opened the 2025 season with an 18-5 non-league victory over Saugerties on Tuesday, March 25.

Reese Longo and Alivia Gambino each had three goals for the Tigers. Taylor Fall and Ava Perconti each scored twice and Olivia Stewart added one goal.

Brooke and Reese Longo contributed three assists each, while DeLisio had two assists. Stewart and Leila Rivera each had one assist.

Goalie Danica Louie made two saves for Kingston.

Nora Hogan led the visiting Dragons (0-2) with four goals. Kassandry Enos and Shay Devlin added one goal apiece.

Tessa Furst made six saves in goal for Cornwall.

Kingston will travel to Albany on Saturday for an 11 a.m. non-league matchup vs. Section 2’s Colonie Central.

The Tigers will be looking to avenge last season’s 14-4 loss to Colonie.

Pine Bush 18, New Paltz 4

At Pine Bush, the host Bushmen (2-0) were led in scoring by Lillian Atria (six goals) and Katie Cragan (four goals) in the non-league contest.

Mackenzie Brown added three goals for Pine Bush and Fiona Varley scored twice. Anneliese Vitale, Madeline Doyle and Camryn Kodgis each chipped in with one goal for the winners.

Pine Bush goal Grace Grant made seven saves.

For New Paltz (0-1), Sophia Brassard scored two goals and Lucinda Gambino and Maria DiDonna added one each.

Emma Keeler made six saves in goals for the visiting Huguenots.

New Paltz travels to Highland on Friday, April 4 for a 4:30 p.m. non-league tilt.
