Britain's Got Talent has been back on our screens for more than a month and since then we have seen weird and wonderful acts, a new judge on the panel and some amazing outfits from Amanda and Alesha. The show is guaranteed to make us laugh and cry or sometimes just wonder what the hell is going on.

Although, unfortunately for Alesha Dixon recently her personal life has overshadowed her on screen endeavours. It follows the news that the singer and her long-term partner Azuka Ononye have seperated. The pair originally met when he was a backup dancer for Mis-Teeq and later assumed the role of Alesha’s creative director. You can read more about that here.

They are said to be still sharing a home "for the sake of the kids". They share two children together, Azura who is 11 and Anaya who is five. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter.

A source told The Sun: "Alesha confirmed she's split from Azuka and is navigating that as best she can. They are still living together for the sake of their family and are co-parenting."

Alesha is a singer, dancer and rapper and originally rocketed to fame with her girl group Mis-Teeq, alongside Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash. The band had top hits including Scandalous, but went their separate ways in 2005 when things supposedly went tense within the group, and all went on to pursue solo careers.

In 2007, Alesha went on to win Strictly Come Dancing with her dance partner Matthew Cutler. Alesha later became a judge on the show's panel in 2009 before leaving the show in 2012 to join the panel of Britain's Got Talent.

She went on to make solo hits including The Boy Does Nothin' in 2008 and more recently Ransom in 2024, her first track in nine years which reached a peak position of 25 in the UK Top 100. After releasing the song and performing at the 2024’s semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent, Alesha spoke to Women's Health magazine about returning to making music and how she "felt so alive" .

She said: "I got to perform, which is my first love, and it was just such a beautiful moment for me. I just thought, ‘Oh my God, I’ve missed performing so much.’ And I did say to myself after that performance…’Girl, you need to get back on stage more because that’s what makes you feel alive’."

On the show she performed a mash-up of her hit tracks including Scandalous, The Boy Does Nothing and her new song, but the BGT judge is also known for her ability to freestyle. Videos of the rapstress went viral on social media for keeping up with R&B artist Craig David.

Fans of the pair commented on the video: "We need a new Craig David and Alesha Dixon track together" and "Alesha voice though is so perfect for it I'd love to hear more from her".

Her many talents have managed to make her a hefty fortune, with her current net worth reported to be around £6.3million. Britain's Got Talent inevitablly has a small part to play in that, as they are rumoured to pay her a healthy £850,000 salary every year. Among other things, she has a children's novel book deal including the Luna Wolf series and she co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, alongside actress Hannah Waddingham and Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina.
