Metairie-based ORACLE Lighting, a leader in the automotive lighting industry for the last 25 years, will expand in Fat City with a $3 million investment to double the size of its showroom. Construction will be completed by October 2025 with the new 15,000 square-foot showroom located at 4125 Hessmer Ave.
ORACLE Lighting has designed lighting products and technologies for the automotive aftermarket since 1999. The expansion will create 13 new direct jobs, in addition to the retention of 30 jobs at the showroom.
“As someone who has long championed the revitalization of Fat City, I am thrilled to expand ORACLE Lighting’s presence in the Metairie Business Development District,” said Justin Hartenstein, Founder of ORACLE Lighting. “This investment not only doubles our footprint in the area but also reinforces our commitment to fostering growth, innovation, and job creation in Jefferson Parish.”
The local company broke ground on the showroom on Tuesday, April 1, as executives were joined by partners and leaders from the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO).
In 2009, ORACLE Lighting relocated its headquarters to Metairie, rehabilitating a 10,000-square-foot building. ORACLE Lighting worked directly with JEDCO on site searches within Jefferson Parish to retain the business in Metairie at the new showroom on Hessmer Ave.
“ORACLE Lighting is a champion for its community, a recognized leader in its industry, and a growing manufacturer that continues to create jobs and investment in Jefferson Parish, which is why the retention and expansion of this company is so significant,” said JEDCO President/CEO Jery Bologna. “ORACLE Lighting has served as a symbol of change and renewal for Fat City for many years. We are thrilled to see this project moving forward right next to their headquarters, allowing the company to continue setting new standards in the automotive lighting industry from right here in Jefferson Parish.”
ORACLE Lighting has spent more than 10 years on the Inc500 list of the “Fastest Growing Businesses in the USA” and is a former CityBusiness fastest-growing company honoree. In 2022, ORACLE won the Louisiana Lantern Award for Manufacturing Excellence and was recognized as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Exporter of the Year, as well as a Small Business Champion by the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
ORACLE Lighting had two acquisitions over the recent year, further growing the globally recognized brand and innovative products in the automotive industry.
In September 2024, ORACLE Lighting acquired California-based Trigger Control Systems, known for its advanced wireless control systems for vehicle lighting and accessories. Trigger’s 12-volt power distribution systems integrate with ORACLE’s existing LED products. In May 2024, ORACLE Lighting completed an asset acquisition of LumaMedia International Inc. located in Las Vegas. LumaMedia is a leading innovator of Electroluminescent Signage, which is a thin, flexible glowing panel that can be used by a variety of industries and applications.
