The Keokuk City Council meeting on the proposed tax levy will be at 5 p.m. (note a half hour earlier than the regular meeting) at Keokuk City Hall, 501 Main St. The regular meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. as normal.

A job fair will be held at Goodwill Center, 1226 Main St. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by and learn about various job opportunities in the area.

Pancake and sausage breakfast fundraiser will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Keokuk Labor Temple, 301 Blondeau St., Keokuk. Cost is a free-will donation. Funds raised will go towards building repairs. The public is invited.
Monster Garage Sale is at Running Fox Elementary south of Wayland, Missouri. Being held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., proceeds will go to the Running Fox PTO.
Bunny Brunch Candy Dash Egg Hunt sponsored by Salvation Army of Keokuk serving Lee County: in Keokuk at 9 a.m. at 31 S. 30th St. (includes a special needs event); in Fort Madison at 1 p.m. at 1415 Ave. M.
The RePette Riddler Race will be held at 9:30 a.m. at 205 N. Sixth St. Warsaw. The event mixes riddles and scavenger hunts. Cost is $40 per four-person team. Prizes will be awarded.

Sunday
Standing Bear Council meets at 1 p.m. the first Sunday of the month, April 6 – Hawkeye Restaurant, 105 N. Park Drive, Keokuk. Those who chose to eat should come by noon.
Spring Family Fun Day will be held at the Hoerner YMCA, 2126 Plank Road in Keokuk. There will be a variety of activities from 1-3 p.m. Cost is $10 per family, up to five people. Open to the public. Sign up at the front desk or through the local Y’s website.
An open jam will be held at Muddy River Music, 27 N. Fourth St., from 1-6 p.m. Bring your instrument and join in.
Paolo Schianchi will perform at 3 p.m. at the Grand Theatre. The master guitarist will amaze the audience. The Keokuk Concert Association is putting on the show. Cost is $20 for those without season tickets. Students, including college students, get free admission.
