MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Faulkner University announced Friday that award-wining actress Candace Cameron Bure will speak at its 2025 Benefit Dinner this October.

Bure, who played DJ Tanner in the iconic T.V. show Full House, is a decorated actress and Emmy-nominated former host of The View.

Bure has starred in numerous TV movies, including A Shoe Addict’s Christmas, the Emmy-nominated The Heart of Christmas, and Christmas Under Wraps, which became Hallmark’s most-watched telecast.

Bure won the Grace Award for TV and received the Best Family Television award at the 30th Annual Movieguide Awards in 2023.

She currently serves as the chief creative officer for Great American Media.

In addition to acting, Bure is a New York Times Bestselling Author, a producer, motivational speaker and entrepreneur.

This October, Bure will speak at a venue that draws nationally recognized figures each year. In the past, notable figures like U.S. presidents, international heads of state, athletes, astronauts and journalist have spoken at the event.

“This year’s Benefit Dinner promises to be another unforgettable evening, with Candace Cameron Bure taking center stage to inspire and entertain the Faulkner community,” Faulkner University said in a statement Friday.

Tickets go on sale May 5.
