EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Dave Carlson, a longtime outdoor news reporter, seen on many Western Wisconsin televisions over the years is being inducted into the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame.

Carlson was a reporter at WEAU from 1981-2000. He hosted the Northland Journal program before he started creating the Northland Adventures with Dave Carlson segment. Carlson did more than that though, he managed to inform and touch viewers with many stories from the outdoors.

“I guess I was more interested in telling a good story as opposed to how big your fish was, how big your deer antlers,” Carlson said. “It was more than that. It was always about telling people’s story.”

Congratulations to Dave Carlson for such and achievement and successful career! Carlson was inducted this year with J. Baird Callicott and Robert Freckmann.
