Love Island star Olivia Attwood has shared her take on Chris Hughes’ latest career move. Her ex will make his debut on Celebrity Big Brother on Monday, in his latest foray into reality TV.

Olivia, 33, and Chris, 32, began dating when they met in the ITV villa in 2017, and went on to reach fourth place before ultimately splitting up a year later.

After the breakup Olivia got back together with her ex-boyfriend Bradley Dack, whom she married in June 2023 in a star-studded London ceremony. While Olivia’s focused on her new love, Chris is returning to living his life on screen after it was revealed that he’d signed up" to star in the upcoming series of CBB.

Chris will reportedly be paid £45,000 to be a celeb housemate, at the lower end of the pay scale due to the several years that have passed since his time on Love Island - in contrast, American actor Mickey Rourke is said to have secured a jaw-dropping £500,000 fee.

I’m a Celebrity alum Oliva spoke about Chris’ news to her co-host and good friend Pete Wicks on their KISS radio show, with Pete unable to resist announcing: "Your ex is on it!” when Big Brother came up.

“It will be weird to see someone I've dated in that environment,” she admitted, before explaining that she and Chris haven’t spoken in years.

The Only Way is Essex star Pete joked that Chris might buddy up to Mickey and become a Hollywood star, with Olivia exclaiming: “He could! Absolutely!”

While Olivia didn’t have anything too bad to say about Chris’ CBB signing, she’s been very open about slamming the relationship they shared. She recently opened up about their romance during a chat with Married at First Sight star Ella Morgan, and said that things weren’t good behind the scenes.

Ella, who was speaking on her break-up with Celebs Go Dating star Alex James Ali, confessed to Olivia how she showed her relationship off as "perfect" for her fans on social media, when in reality, that wasn't the case.

Olivia was all ears, and said that Ella’s words rang true of her relationship with Chris. She admitted: "Chris and I did that. He would put up a selfie of me and him with like hearts underneath and I'd be thinking, ‘This p***k hasn't answered the phone to me for four days.’”

Olivia has previously revealed that 'incompatibility' was the main reasoning behind her split with Chris. "It was toxic with Chris and we argued a lot. I never had that problem with Brad, we never argued. I was just incompatible with Chris,” she divulged.

"You meet on this show and things are very different in the real world. You think, 'Oh s*** do we actually have stuff in common? It wasn't meant to be."
