Speaking ahead of the live launch, JoJo explained that she looked forward to "meeting new people" and learning to live with strangers. I think it's going to be really fun to live and try to exist with strangers who I feel like some may know each other, but I feel like I'm the blind bat going in - I'm not going to know anyone," she said.

"I'd say my strengths are making people laugh and smile and have a good time - that's my forte. I think I'll be easy to get along with - I'm a fairly easy person to get along with. I'm an easy person to converse with - even if somebody's the opposite to me."

During her time in the house, she has formed a very close bond with Love Island star Chris Hughes.

Following her stint on Dance Moms, JoJo went on to appear in various Nickelodeon shows and her own film, as well as The Masked Singer US, Dancing with the Stars and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

She has also launched a successful music career, releasing songs such as Karma and Boomerang - which has over one billion views on YouTube.

In 2020, she was named on Time's annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Despite all her successes, JoJo has also been at the centre of several controversies.

The first came in 2019, when her Claire's collaboration make-up kit tested positive for asbestos. JoJo issued a statement at the time, assuring that "safety is my number one priority" and confirmed that the product was being taken off shelves.

The backlash continued in 2023 when JoJo shared a series of photos of herself cradling her belly and buying baby clothes, giving the impression that she was pregnant - but it was just a prank. Many fans questioned the stunt, calling it "insensitive" and "disrespectful".

Speaking to Metro in 2019, JoJo addressed the public backlash she has received, and shared the impact it's had on her life over the years.

"People can be really mean, and it does sometimes get hard, but it's about staying true to who you are, remembering why you do what you do and not letting anybody stop you for any reason. It's not their life, it's your life," she said.

JoJo is now in a relationship with Australian influencer Kath Ebbs, with the couple going public earlier this year.

Ahead of her Celebrity Big Brother stint, JoJo revealed that she will miss her girlfriend and puppy the most.

"For sure my girlfriend; absolutely my girlfriend. Tied for first place though - my puppy. I have this joke, we always say, 'Who do you love more - girlfriend or puppy?' And every other day there's a new favourite; it depends on who's the better behaved," she said.
