Meet our Pet of the Week, Galaxy! This 1-year-old Pit Bull and Dalmatian Mix is as silly and social as she is gorgeous. With her space-like markings and out-of-this-world personality, Galaxy is sure to become the center of your universe.
Galaxy is a social butterfly who can't help but bounce when meeting new people. Shelter volunteers say she loves to be around her humans, but also embraces her new friends each day.
She is already a master at sitting on command and looks forward to expanding her repertoire with consistent training and, of course, plenty of treats.
Galaxy's ideal home is an active one where she can get regular exercise and playtime. With her puppy antics, she will thrive in a patient and reassuring home that will nurture her growing confidence.

Her compatibility with cats is unknown, but Galaxy is excited to meet any other canine friends prior to her adoption.
If you want to meet Galaxy, you can find her at the Jackson County Animal Shelter. Call the shelter at 541-774-6654 and press for adoptions. You can also visit the shelter at 5595 South Pacific Highway from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

This week all regular-priced Adoption Fees are 50% off. Additionally, all dogs who have been in the shelter's care for 75 to 99 days have their Adoption Fees reduced to $75. All dogs who have been in the shelter's care for more than 100 days have their Adoption Fees waived. Licensing fees apply for all adoptions to Jackson County residents.
