Strictly Come Dancing’s Motsi Mabuse's husband has said he’s ‘endlessly grateful’ for his wife in an emotional birthday tribute.

South African native Motsi has been a judge on the BBC phenomenon since 2019, giving her verdict on the stars learning the art of dance.

Away from the dancefloor, Motsi tied the knot to her partner Evgenij Voznyuk in 2017, going on to welcome their daughter into the world the following year.

With Motsi turning 44 on Friday (April 11), Evgenij took to Instagram with a lengthy post to commend his wife’s positive impact on his life.

He wrote: “Happy Birthday, my love. If I tried to put into words how much you mean to me—it would be like trying to explain why we need the sun or air. Because you’re not just a part of my life—you are my life. Everything that truly matters in it is connected to you.

“You are a true human being in the deepest sense of the word. Not just present, but with me—in all the ways that count. In joyful moments, you’re the first person I want to share them with. And in difficult times, you are my anchor, my strength, my light. You know how to be there—not with loud declarations, but with quiet warmth and unwavering support.

“You are an incredible mother—the kind every child dreams of. And our child is not just someone we brought into the world together, but living proof of the miracle you’ve brought into my life. Thank you for that. For them. For us.”

Evgenij continued: “I’m endlessly grateful for your presence in my life. For every day I get to share with you. And above all, I wish you health, happiness, and love for many, many years to come.

“May life always give back to you the beauty you bring into it—because you are, without a doubt, its most precious part. With all my love, always yours. Evgenij.”

Replying with a sad face and love hearts to her husband, Motsi went on to share some moments from her birthday on her own account.

Sharing a snap of her and Evgenij, Motsi was also joined by her daughter as the family appeared to be on holidays, judging by the snowy mountains spotted in the background of the pictures.

“Happy Birthday to me . I had the best birthday week I am grateful for every moment spend with you. #happybdaytome,” she said.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed on Friday that Motsi and her fellow judges will be back for the 2025 edition of Strictly in the autumn.
