The actor who played Sarah Platt’s first boyfriend on Coronation Street looks totally different over 20 years since his soap stint.
Sarah (Tina O'Brien) has been a firm favourite on the cobbles for years. Making her debut in 1999, she has gone on to become one of the soap’s most iconic and beloved characters.
She has also played a big part in several dramatic storylines too over the years. From her dramatic teenage pregnancy to feuds on the cobbles - her time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.
It’s also fair to say Sarah’s had her share of failed relationships too - including plenty of scandalous affairs and romances with bad boys. Her most recent relationship was with Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) who is currently behind bars.
And back in the 2000s, Sarah got herself her first serious boyfriend - but the actor is now unrecognisable decades after quitting acting for a completely new career.
Actor Will Haigh made his debut on the soap back in 2000 playing Glen Middleham. During his stint on the show, he famously dated Sarah Platt, following the birth of her baby Bethany in June 2000 aged just 13.
As fans will recall, the shock teen pregnancy storyline rocked the nation back in the day and was rather controversial.
However, while dating Glen, rumours about the nature of their relationship spread around school and eventually Sarah ended things with Glen - with him leaving the cobbles in 2001.
Following his Coronation Street stint, Will appeared in the likes of Holby City and The Peter Kay Thing. He then quit acting completely at age 17 and started a new career as a mine warfare specialist in the Royal Navy.
During Will’s time in the forces, he served two years with the Marines in places like Africa and Saudi Arabia. He then transferred to the photographic branch and has since bagged several awards for his work.
Nowadays, the former soap star looks totally different, with him now rocking a slicked brunette hairstyle. Will has said goodbye to the silver chain and jerseys and opted for more smart shirts.
