Celebrity Big Brother has officially ejected Hollywood star Mickey Rourke from the show due to what they term "further use of inappropriate language and unacceptable behaviour."

Rourke's stint in the CBB house was marred by controversy, having made several fatphobic and homophobic comments, in addition to disparaging his fellow contestants' cooking abilities.

Despite receiving warnings about his language and conduct, another incident led to his removal from the competition.

According to a CBB spokesperson, "Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the CBB House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour."

It's reported that following the initial derogatory comments, further incidents involving Rourke took place, culminating in a confrontation with Love Island's Chris Hughes during a task.

The argument, though non-physical, featured behaviour and language perceived as menacing and aggressive, leaving CBB no option but to request Rourke leave the house.

The reality show was rocked by controversy after housemate Mickey caused outrage with a series of incidents, involving homophobic remarks towards fellow contestant JoJo Siwa.

He remarked to Siwa: "If I stay longer than four days, you won't be gay anymore.", reports the Mirror.

He later threatened the singer by saying he would "tie you up" and even declared his intention to "vote out the lesbian" leading to a confrontation where Siwa accused Mickey of homophobia.

In another incident, while seeking a cigarette, he exclaimed, "I need a f**k," and when addressing Siwa he bluntly stated, "I'm not talking to you."

Chris Hughes stepped in to defend Siwa, admonishing Mickey by telling him "you can't say that", although it seemed to have little impact.

Mickey was called to the diary room for an official warning from Big Brother following these interactions and issued an apology.

However, his supposed remorse was fleeting as he faced further backlash for making fat-phobic comments directed at Donna Preston.

Before these events played out on screen, viewer disapproval of Rourke had already mounted due to his "creepy" behaviour towards AJ Odudu during Monday's launch show.

His actions were met with discomfort as he fixated on her body for an "uncomfortable" period, prompting AJ to tell him to "stop looking at me."

On top of everything that might expedite his departure from the programme, another incident also involved him upsetting EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer on Friday by making persistent digs at her culinary efforts.

Following Mickey's ongoing remarks about her cooking skills to the rest of the group, a distressed Patsy confided in Big Brother in the diary room.

She said: "I tried to talk that one out but it didn't really work. I feel like I let myself down there and I don't want my reactions to be like that.

"I always want my kids to stand up for themselves. Maybe it was just a joke - maybe I need to look at it like that. I need to try to rise above it. It doesn't mean I have to like him."

Mickey, oblivious to Patsy's discomfort, carried on discussing her cooking even to Big Brother, remarking: "I think in future, you guys should hire really good chefs to feed the people."

His accumulation of misdeeds even led some disgusted viewers to threaten on social media to stop watching the show unless he was ejected.

After Rourke was issued his initial warning, an appalled spectator posted online: "Sorry a warning isn't enough. Telling a 21 year old he'll tie her up? She won't be gay anymore? All the language he used? He's disgusting and should be removed straight away. #CBBUK #CBB."

Meanwhile, several viewers were convinced that Mickey was prepared to leave the show regardless of whether he was voted off during Friday night's episode.

"He seemed pretty adamant this was a 4 day job - and it wouldn't be the first time he completed a short contract then self-eliminated," one viewer posted on X.

They also shared a clip of Mickey's stint on The Masked Singer US, where he chose to exit the show prematurely by removing his mask at the end of his debut performance.
