4Ps beneficiaries must update family roster for additional benefits – DSWD

ILOILO City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is urging all Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries to update their family roster, particularly if they have children aged zero to two years or pregnant members, in order to avail themselves of additional benefits.

This update is necessary for beneficiaries to receive an extra P350 grant per month under the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) of Life conditional cash grant, which targets children in their early years and pregnant women.

Belen Gebusion, 4Ps division chief of DSWD Region 6, made the call after noticing a low turnout of registrants for the program, specifically among children aged zero to two years and pregnant women.

As of March 31, 2025, only 7,210 recipients had registered, out of the total 196,488 active beneficiaries in the region. This figure includes 6,528 children and 682 pregnant women.

Here is the breakdown of the 7,210 registrants by province:

* Aklan – 990

* Antique – 1,048

* Capiz – 1,023

* Guimaras – 375

* Iloilo – 3,774

Gebusion stressed that while the additional P350 grant is an important incentive, the primary goal of the program is to ensure that pregnant women and children in the crucial first 1,000 days of life receive the necessary health services. This period is vital for a child’s development, particularly in mental and psychological aspects, which can have long-term impacts.

“The first 1,000 days is critical to a child’s development, and it’s essential that pregnant members comply with health protocols,” Gebusion explained. “It’s not merely a financial aid, but ensuring that proper health services are availed during this critical phase.”

Gebusion also appealed to media outlets to help disseminate information to 4Ps households. Due to the limited number of field workers, reaching all beneficiaries has been challenging. Media support will encourage more households to update their records.

To update their details, beneficiaries can visit the i-registro web portal at i-registro-4ps.dswd.gov.ph and provide necessary documents, such as a valid ID, prenatal booklet for pregnant women, and birth certificates for children aged zero to two years. The portal is user-friendly and available in English, Filipino, and Hiligaynon.

For those without internet access, they can visit their Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) for assistance./PN
