Celebrity Big Brother star's sad response to eviction as heartbreaking reason for show revealed
Trisha Goddard was the latest star to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house on Tuesday night
Celebrity Big Brother's latest live eviction saw Trisha Goddard leave the iconic house on Tuesday night.
Monday night's episode required the housemates to nominate two of their peers for this week's eviction within the seclusion of the Diary Room.
The vote results placed Jack P Shepherd, Patsy Palmer, and the 67-year-old Trisha in jeopardy, leaving their fate in the hands of the public for the live eviction show on Tuesday.
Four nominations against Jack came from Angellica Bell, Danny Beard, Donna Preston, and even Trisha. Patsy was nominated by six housemates – Angellica, Chesney Hawkes, Chris Hughes, Danny, JoJo Siwa, and again by Trisha.
Trisha herself received four nominations from Chesney, Chris, Ella Rae Wise, and Patsy, reports OK!
On eviction night, it was confirmed that Trisha was the one to go, an outcome she described as "kinda sad" to hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, adding she was feeling "a bit sad".
Trisha, who has stage four breast cancer, meaning it’s treatable but not curable, is currently being treated by a palliative care team, after having a major treatment just before entering the house.
Earlier on in Tuesday's programme, Trisha confessed to her housemate Angellica Bell: "I kind of realised - I know the big 'C' comes up a lot - here's a holiday from it. Do you get me? I can just have fun and things like that, and then when I get back out I'm sort of-".
Angellica chimed in, "Back to it? Back to reality, it's sort of a bubble isn't it?" Trisha concurred, adding: "It's a bubble, as I say it's been my respite - not that I expected it to be, I'm completely surprised by that. It's been a respite from treatment and stuff."
It comes as over the weekend Hollywood star Mickey Rourke left the Celebrity Big Brother house due to "further use of inappropriate language" and "instances of unacceptable behaviour".
This follows a previous episode where 'The Wrestler' actor was issued a formal warning by Big Brother for "unacceptable language and behaviour" towards his housemate JoJo.
An ITV representative confirmed: "Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour."
Friday saw Celebrity Big Brother's first eviction, with Michael Fabricant being the first contestant to depart the series.
CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER CONTINUES TONIGHT AT 9PM ON ITV1, ITVX, STV AND STV PLAYER.
