Chipolo ending sales of ‘Point’ trackers for Android with fire sale on Card

Following the introduction of its new “Pop” trackers, Chipolo has pulled the plug on its “Point” lineup of trackers that launched for Android’s Find My Device network.

Chipolo was one of the first brands to offer new item trackers for Google’s Find My Device network. The One Point and Card Point trackers allowed users to quickly pair trackers with their Android device and have those trackers found – eventually – by other Android phones through a worldwide network.

Like its competitor Pebblebee, though, Chipolo is now ending sales of those original Find My Device trackers, with the company’s “Point” series mostly being no longer available for purchase.

Through Chipolo’s website, Amazon, and Best Buy, the Point series is mainly unavailable. The One Point, in particular, is out of stock entirely from all three storefronts, though a bundle is still available from Best Buy. The Card Point is also still available (and heavily discounted, similar to how One Point was before this week). Chipolo now only lists these trackers as a part of its “Outlet deals.”

The obvious reason for this is due to the launch of the Chipolo “Pop” series, which offers a 2-in-1 solution for a user’s tracking needs. Instead of selling trackers for its own network, Apple’s network, and Android’s network, Chipolo Pop works with both major networks (but only one at a time). It also brings a splash of color, as opposed to the strictly white color of Chipolo’s Android-only trackers.

The Chipolo Pop is now available starting at $29. There’s no Card variant of this updated tracker yet, so the remaining stock on the Card Point will be your only option unless you’d like to use another brand. Pebblebee also sells a card-style tracker that works with both networks, and it’s rechargeable where Chipolo’s is not. That said, Chipolo Card Point is just $18 at Best Buy right now, a killer deal.
