Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 has been generating a lot of buzz since the release of its trailer. The highly anticipated movie is set to release on May 18. The screening of the movie has already been started, one of which held at Delhi on April 15, attended by various ministers including Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister Kapil Mishra, and Minister Anurag Thakur. 

On Tuesday, many politicians and celebrities shared their views and opinions about the movie on social media, applauding the effort behind it. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta praised the movie on X as she wrote, “The film Kesari Chapter 2 presents the spirit of patriotism, courage, and sacrifice in a very impactful and emotional manner. Every scene is filled with pride and inspiration. Best wishes to Shri @akshaykumar, Shri @ActorMadhavan, and the entire team of #KesariChapter2. Thanks to Union Minister Shri @HardeepSPuri Ji for the invitation to the film screening” in Hindi and posted pictures with Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh also praised the powerful one liners while talking to the media after the screen. He later wrote a heartfelt note lauding the movie for its powerful and dynamic storytelling. He wrote, “Kesari Chapter 2 is a powerful, deeply moving and evocative cinematic ode to India’s freedom movement and to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh.This gripping narrative that transports you into the middle of the courtroom where Akshay Kumar essaying the role of lawyer Sir C. Sankaran Nair Ji, rips apart the web of deceit and lies to bring out the truth of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre is a must watch for every Indian & champion of justice.

This was one chapter of our history which waited long to unfold. The powerfully unifying message that this movie conveys must reach all Indians across the length and breadth of the country.” as he believed it was a privilege to join the screening with the actors of Kesari Chapter 2 along with Delhi CM and other ministers. 

Akshay replied to the minister as he wrote, “Deeply honoured that you watched our film and hosted a special screening @HardeepSPuri sir. My entire team and I hope and pray that the nation gets to know about the valiant effort of C. Sankaran Nair. Rab raakha.”

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister for Environment, Forest, and Wildlife, also shared the visuals of screening on his X handle, recounting the film as “a powerful tribute to the heroes of Jallianwala Bagh.”

Actor Rana Daggubatti also watched the movie a few days ago and shared his views on X. He wrote, “Just watched an incredible historical courtroom drama — Kesari: Chapter 2, The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. A powerful, important film that stands tall and stays deep with the Indian in you. This is storytelling that deserves to be seen across languages.” He further added that his production house, Suresh Productions, “will do everything we can to bring this cinematic gem to Telugu audiences in the best way in cinemas.”

Kesari Chapter 2 is  Hindi language drama movie based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The movie is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Dharma Production, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films. The cast in the movie includes Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, Ananya Panday, Regina Cassandra, Manoj Pahwa and many others.
