LAFAYETTE — Over the past weekend, troopers from the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post conducted targeted patrols focused on identifying and apprehending impaired drivers, enforcing traffic laws, and responding to criminal activity throughout the district.

Key statistics from the weekend’s patrols include:

• 238 traffic stops

• 6 arrests for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI)

• 4 arrests for driving while suspended (prior) or operating without ever receiving a license

• 8 drug-related investigations

• 4 felony arrests

• 1 warrant arrest

• 11 vehicle accident reports

• 22 criminal investigations

• 29 police services

• 1 vehicle pursuit

The Indiana State Police remains committed to protecting the motoring public through high-visibility patrols and strict enforcement of traffic and criminal laws.

These efforts are part of an ongoing strategy to enhance roadway safety and ensure accountability for dangerous and impaired driving behavior.
