Chris Hughes has broken down in tears after being accused of ‘playing a game’ by Ella Rae Wise.
The Love Island star, 32, has become close with American star JoJo, 21, since they entered the Celebrity Big Brother house last week.
However, before he was sent packing last night, Olympic decathlete Daley Thompson dropped a ‘bomb’ when speaking about the pair.
After Towie star Ella Rae Wise, 24, asked if he had any advice going forward in the show, the 66-year-old told her: ‘Except…I know it’s difficult if you are struggling to be heard, put your hand up. Because there’s some people that are really loud and there’s some people that do this professionally as a game.’
Appearing to take a swipe and Chris and JoJo, he added: ‘There’s two people in here that do it all of the time. I think on the cameras; people will be interested in their relationship.’
When Ella went on to discuss Daley’s comments with Danny Beard and Donna Preston, the former branded it a ‘Daley bomb’.

Earlier in the episode Ella, a reality star herself, slammed JoJo and Chris for their reality TV pasts, saying they were ‘professional reality stars and social climbers’ who were ‘playing a game’.
‘I just feel, and this is my personal opinion, that there are social climbers in this industry, and I think he would benefit a hell of a lot,’ she added.
On last night’s episode of the ITV reality series, Chris took aim at Ella, accusing her of being ‘jealous’ of his and JoJo’s ‘matching energies’.
‘She isn’t sweet on JoJo so there might be a jealously thing there I don’t know, she likes to have her two pence worth and if she’s out of a conversation she wants to be in it,’ he said in the diary room.
However, on tonight’s episode he becomes emotional speaking about the tension in the house.
Breaking down while speaking to Big Brother in the diary room, he says: ‘I’m literally just in here being me, living. I hate toxic stuff in life like I hate environments. It just brings you down.
‘You can feel when energy shifts and it’s not nice. I don’t want to be emotional and sad, but you can’t help it sometimes. People have made me feel like I can’t have a friendship with JoJo. Or feel like I have to justify a friendship with JoJo – because we get on and we have fun. I’m actually really sad.’
After watching the clip, many viewers expressed concern for Chris.
‘Oh bless him, I hate that people in there are making him feel like this,’ Siobhan posted on X.
‘The way the others are stressing over people playing games, and these two are just happy and making dances etc up. Life’s far far too short enjoy while you can,’ Amy shared.
‘My heart breaks for Chris. I hope Ella is happy with herself accusing Chris of being a “game player” just because she’s insecure and jealous of his friendship with JoJo, Ryan added.
Meanwhile others said he was a ‘pure soul with a genuine heart who had done nothing wrong’.
Chris and Ella had also clashed on last night’s episode when undertaking a task that involved learning a dance routine dressed as toddlers in Big Brother’s nursery.
At one point, he told her to ‘use her brain’. This morning his brother Ben weighed in, saying he thought Ella was ‘jealous’ of Chris’ friendship with JoJo.
Appearing on Lorraine on Monday, Ben commented on his brother’s friendship with JoJo, sharing: ‘I still feel they’ve bonded so well. They are very similar people who have a great friendship.’
However, when asked about Ella, he shared: ‘In my point of view, I think she got jealous about their friendship and wonders why she wasn’t part of it, but I believe Daley has left the biggest bombshell and blown things out of the water.’

His comment also referred to Daley Thompson’s parting words before he left the house last night.

Earlier in the episode, viewers branded Ella a ‘hypocrite’ after she slammed JoJo and Chris for their reality TV pasts.
While Chris found fame on Love Island and JoJo on Dance Moms, Ella has appeared on Towie, Celebrity Ex on the Beach and The Challenge UK.
Her comments drew criticism from viewers, who wrote on X that she was ‘two-faced’ and a ‘game player’.

However, some have also questioned Chris and JoJo’s friendship after he previously tried to kiss her and offered to be the father of her children.
Outside the house, audiences have been speculating about the pair ‘flirting’ and expressing sympathy for the singer’s real-life partner.
However, this notion has been heavily criticised, especially by LGBTQ+ viewers, since JoJo is proudly gay.
