Chaos erupts as AOC heckled by protestor over Gaza at NYC town hall

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was heckled at her own New York town hall on Friday when a protester jeered at the far-left "squad" member for failing to stop the “genocide in Gaza.”

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was heckled at her own New York town hall on Friday when a protester jeered at the far-left "squad" member for failing to stop the “genocide in Gaza” — who was immediately met with a torrent of boos and hisses.

The speculated 2028 democratic candidate was holding a town hall in Jackson Heights, Queens, when the gathering descended into chaos.

In a video, which managed to capture the incident, an anti-Israel demonstrator blasted AOC. “I am a health care worker, and I want to know what you’re doing about the genocide in Gaza,” a female disrupter shouted at the congresswoman. Meanwhile, Trump also exploded at a 'rotten' reporter on Air Force One with a savage 4-word dig.

The health care worker's question to AOC seemed to ignite the crowd, which booed loudly as the woman continued to point and scream at Ocasio-Cortez, who struggled to control the quickly escalating situation. “I’m a nurse! Shame on you!” the agitator yelled from her seat.

"Shame on you, you’re a liar. You’re a liar," the woman continued to shout as other attendees continued to drown out the woman. One person shouted, “Shame! Shame! Shame!”

It was later reported that the pro-Palestinian attendee was corralled by security and staffers who escorted her out of the auditorium. “You’re a war criminal! War criminal! War criminal! Shame on you, I used to support you!”

After some control was reestablished, Ocasio-Cortez took a moment to respond to the provocative outburst. “I more than welcome people who disagree, or are super pissed off at me for any issue to come, but we have some ground rules here,” she said.

“Please wait for the Q&A because we don’t want to deprive all of our neighbors of the ability to have information and hearing them to respond to it,” she continued. “We need to be able to have this conversation.”

The outburst comes after AOC called out Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for snapping up stocks before prices surged during the chaos that ensued in the wake of Donald Trump's Liberation Day tariffs. The Democrat firebrand asked her Republican rival, "How much did you make off of that suffering," after her lucrative trades during the market turmoil were disclosed.

Reports indicate that Greene purchased between $21,000 and $315,000 worth of stock during the period when Trump imposed steep reciprocal tariffs on dozens of America’s closest trading partners. In particular, she picked up a selection of the country’s biggest losers, including Lululemon, Dell Computer, Amazon, and the parent company of Restoration Hardware (RH), which had seen their stock prices plummet by an average of 40%.

Some of these trades occurred as late as April 9, when Trump wrote, “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!” on social media. Within hours of his post, the president suspended his variable import taxes on every country except China and enforced a standard tariff rate of just 10%. This sent the markets surging back up again.

AOC publicly bashed Greene during a rally in Idaho. “We saw Marjorie Taylor Greene buy that dip. How much did you make? How much did you make off of people’s despair? How much did you make off of that panic? How much did you make off of that suffering? No more. We can’t accept it," she questioned.

Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries also branded Greene a “crook” during an interview with Jen Psaki. He added: “We are seeing corruption unfold before us in real time.” RH is Greene's clear winner. The stock has surged by more than a third since she purchased it on Friday, following a dramatic collapse in price. Dell has also seen a significant rebound, jumping 9% since Greene bought the stock last week after it had lost more than half its value.
