Impact weekend as heavy rain continues for Southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry

Strong thunderstorms bring in potential flash flooding conditions across the area

This weekend, expect to see showers and storms bringing heavy rain to Southeast Georgia and the South Carolina Lowcountry. Saturday will start off with light showers and roads will still be wet due to showers and storms on Friday night. Rain will be off and on throughout the day, with some heavy showers and storms later in the afternoon. The severe risk is low throughout the weekend, and the biggest impact will be the amount of rain that will fall throughout the next few days. An additional 2-4 inches of rain could fall through the weekend. Early Sunday will start out with dry conditions but rain will quickly move back into the forecast, we'll see the most amount of rain late Sunday and into Monday. There will be spots of dry weather throughout both the days but most of the time conditions will be wet. Tuesday will also see a few showers but the dry weather returns by the middle of next week.
