Senatorial candidate Panfilo Lacson of Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas vowed to serve with integrity and honesty if given the chance to return to the Senate.

Lacson reaffirmed his role as a national budget watchdog, pledging to ensure public funds are spent on their intended programs and projects. He also thanked President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., campaign head Rep. Toby Tiangco, and supporters for their help during the 90-day campaign.

Known for his previous efforts to eliminate budget irregularities, Lacson said his work had saved taxpayers more than P300 billion during his earlier Senate terms. “If you allow me to serve again, I will continue to guard the budget and fight corruption,” he said.

He acknowledged the silent support of many backers and emphasized that their trust would not be wasted. “My simple promise is that I will serve with integrity and honesty,” he added.

Lacson expressed optimism about the Alyansa slate’s performance in the May 12 elections and said their presence in the Senate would ensure thorough scrutiny of infrastructure and budget proposals to prevent the use of substandard materials and corruption.
