The "Classiest Dive" on Fort Myers Beach is finally back open and better than ever. Smokin Oyster Brewery on Old San Carlos Boulevard has been closed since Hurricane Ian, and they are finally open with that great beach vibe with all the delicious food and drinks."Good Morning Gulf Coast's" Jason Drew went Gulfcoasting at SOB's and was greeted by the most friendly and energetic crew you'll ever meet. Hank Leitnaker, Operating Partner of SOB's, was beaming with pride and excitement to bring back this Fort Myers Beach staple. During renovations, he mentioned many people passing by would come in and tell him how happy they were to know their favorite spot was coming back. Some of the menu items have remained the same — variations on oysters, king crab, garlic crab legs, grouper and scallops. If seafood is not your forte, there are plenty of options from chicken, ribs, and their delicious smash burger. Leave some room for some homemade key lime pie, too.This Friday, May 16, the public is invited for a Grand Re-Opening ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. SOB's wants to let you know they're here, they're open, and now that the off-season is over, it's time for us locals to head back to the beach for eats, drinks, and great vibes at Smokin Oyster Brewery.
