ASP arrests robbery suspects after high-speed chase on Mother’s Day

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (WMC) - Arkansas State Police (ASP) has arrested two robbery suspects after they allegedly led troopers on a high-speed pursuit across state lines on Mother’s Day.

According to ASP, troopers responded to a BOLO regarding suspects involved in a West Memphis robbery around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers then spotted the suspect’s vehicle traveling around 100 miles per hour while crossing the Tennessee bridge on I-55.

The driver, identified as 64-year-old Joe Carter, and his passenger, 43-year-old Phillip Harris, were arrested with help from Memphis and West Memphis Police and taken to the Shelby County Detention Center.
