Dragon Quest is an iconic JRPG franchise published by Square Enix, a company known for its long-standing RPG series, including Final Fantasy, Mana, SaGa, Bravely Default, and the more recent titles like Octopath Traveler. While fans continue to wait for the highly anticipated Dragon Quest XII, Square has been feeding the gaming community remake titles to appease them. The first of these was Dragon Quest III, which, despite being a later title, actually comes earlier in the series timeline. Recently, the company officially announced a remake package of Dragon Quest I and II in the same style, and we finally have a launch date.
Dragon Quest XII continues to be a mystery, but at least fans can indulge in some upcoming series content. The last Remake that Square Enix undertook, DQIII, took the game and gave it an entirely new face, including graphic upgrades utilizing the publisher’s now infamous HD-2D style, battle system modernization, and even some storyline alteration. This same approach has been taken with the newest remakes as well.
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will offer players the final two parts of the Erdrick trilogy (chronologically) in a fresh way. As Game Informer explains, “Outside of the HD-2D graphical facelift, the battle system has been refined, and the games include quality-of-life updates. Square Enix also teases new content for both titles and plans to provide specific details later.” As we have seen from previous trailers, that seems to include a new character with a fresh storyline. Also new is the announcement that the game will launch on Switch 2, along with all previously announced systems.
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is available now for pre-order, and will officially launch on October 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch, and PC. For every package available for order, as well as the bonuses for preordering, see the information below, as outlined by Game Informer and Gematsu and released by Square Enix.

Henrietta’s Hideaway is a location you’ll be visiting more than once in Hogwarts Legacy. There are multiple quests to be solved in this area, including Find Rococo, Solved by the Bell, an Astronomy Table, an Infamous Foe, and this quest, Hippogriff Marks the Spot. You’ll start this quest in an entirely unrelated location, and even when you’re in the right place, the answer isn’t clear. For everything you need to solve Henrietta’s Map, follow our instructions below. If you want to catch or breed a Hippogriff, make sure to read our beast locations guide. Make sure to read through our other Hogwarts Legacy guides for everything you need to know about the game, including puzzle solutions, item locations, and more. For information on the Hogwarts Legacy controversy surrounding J.K. Rowling and the game, read our explainer. How to find Henrietta’s Map – Hogwarts Legacy The first thing we need to do is start the quest, if you haven’t already. You can begin this quest at Poidsear Castle – it’s a map sitting on a desk in a tent near the back of the castle. The Side Quest icon should be hovering over it to draw your attention. Solving Henrietta’s Map – Hogwarts Legacy Once we have the map, we need to solve it. First is quite obviously a literal map, with an X marking the spot, and an illustration of where we need to go. It is Henrietta’s Map, so it makes sense that this quest would take place in Henrietta’s Hideaway to the South of Manor Cape. There’s also a Hippogriff surrounded by flames, with a flame and ice icon near them. The flame obviously indicates the use of your fire spells, and the ice icon hints at using Glacius. Hippogriff Marks the Spot solution – Hogwarts Legacy Right, so we need to enter Henrietta’s Hideaway. Once you arrive at the castle you’ll find a dungeon entrance down to the right side of the ruin. Inside there’s a quick and easy puzzle involving fire and ice spell blocks. As the main door opens, you will come face to face with a Hippogriff statue surrounding by burning braziers. First you will need to extinguish the flames around the Hippogriff. Next, you will need to light only the braziers indicated by Henrietta’s Map. These are as follows, when facing the Hippogriff: Rear of the Hippogriff Left of the Hippogriff Right of the Hippogriff Right front side of the Hippogriff Once those braziers are lit, a wall will open up at the back, revealing a chest with an item inside. Hippogriff Marks the Spot rewards – Hogwarts Legacy For your efforts you will receive Treasure-Seekers Gloves as an appearance option. Nice if you’re after the Treasure-Seekers appearance set, I guess.
Green Bay Packers star quarterback Jordan Love and his wife, Ronika Stone, continue to have a good time after their wedding last June. On Thursday, Mrs. Love shared more photos from their trip to the beautiful South Asian paradise of the Maldives. The first image in the photo carousel shows Love and Stone holding hands as they stroll along the beach. In another photo, Stone is shown in a blue bikini while the former Utah State Aggies signal-caller looks at her. The former first-round pick also reacted to Stone’s post with a one-word comment that reads “Tough.” Based on Love’s Instagram stories on Thursday, it also appears that they’re back in the United States, as the Packers star shared videos of himself in what appears to be a youth camp. There is surely plenty of work to be done for Love, as the Packers are about to begin their training camp next Wednesday. Jordan Love can’t wait for Green Bay Packers training camp In an earlier IG post, Love said that it’s “Almost that time,” perhaps referring to the looming training camp and 2025 NFL season. Green Bay managed to make it to the NFL playoffs last season, but the Packers were immediately knocked out of the postseason by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Packers did not look good entering the postseason, limping to the playoffs on the heels of a two-game losing skid, but they have a chance to put together a much more impressive campaign in 2025, with Love being at the forefront of their attack. In 2024, Love threw for 3,389 passing yards and 25 touchdowns with 11 picks thrown on a 63.1 percent completion rate through 15 games.
Shane Lowry caught an unfortunate break during the second round of The Open Championship on Friday, and the Irishman suggested that he disagreed with the ruling. Lowry was assessed a two-stroke penalty following the second round because of something that happened when he was playing the 12th hole at Royal Portrush Golf Club. Lowry pulled his drive into the left rough and was getting set to hit his second shot when he unknowingly committed a penalty. As Lowry took a practice swing next to his ball, the ball moved sightly. Rules state that a player should be assessed a two-stroke penalty if their practice swing causes their ball to move. If the ball moved on its own and not as a result of the practice swing, there is no penalty. Lowry was informed of the potential infraction during the round. The R A, which governs The Open Championship, opted to wait until after the round to review the video with Lowry and officials. After discussing the issue with Lowry and playing partners Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa, officials assessed a two-stroke penalty. Lowry called the ruling "very disappointing." He said he was told a penalty is only assessed if the oscillation of the ball could be seen with the naked eye, and Lowry felt it might not have been noticeable without a zoomed-in, slow-motion television view. "I had to take it ... I wasn't arguing my case, but I'm disappointed that they don't have more camera angles on it," Lowry said, via ESPN's Paolo Uggetti. "The one zoomed in slow motion -- they're trying to tell me if it doesn't move from the naked eye, if you don't see it moving, it didn't move. I told them I definitely was looking down towards the ball as I was taking that practice swing, and I didn't see it move." Lowry said he felt the officials had already made their decision before discussing the situation with him. He did not want fans to call him "a cheat," however. "If the ball moved and I caused it to move and it moved, it's a two-shot penalty," Lowry added. "The last thing I want to do is sit there and argue and not take the penalty and then get slaughtered all over social media tonight for being a cheat." Lowry, who won the 2019 Open Championship at Royal Portrush, finished his round at 2-under for the tournament. He wound up even-par after the two-stroke penalty and 10 shots behind leader Scottie Scheffler. The penalty came at the conclusion of what was a frustrating day for Lowry. Earlier in the round, cameras picked up some foul language from the 38-year-old after he hit a poor shot.
On Thursday, a rumor from Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer revealed that the Boston Celtics and Memphis Grizzlies had discussed a trade. Fischer didn't go into details, but he added that Anfernee Simons and/or Georges Niang could be traded. “As we discussed, I think the Celtics are still very active in taking trade calls—maybe even making trade calls. There was some conversation last week between Memphis and Boston about something. We’re still looking to track down more info on that. But rival teams are definitely still under the impression that Boston is looking for deals involving both Anfernee Simons and Georges Niang,” Fischer said. Simons will make almost $27.7 million for the 2025-26 season, while Niang will make $8.2 million. Right now, the Celtics can trade them, but neither can be traded with any other players at the moment. However, even though the Celtics and Grizzlies have been in touch, there appear to be no indications that a trade is imminent. ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel gave a rather final report on where the Celtics and Grizzlies stand on a possible trade involving Simons. "There isn't any trade," Siegel wrote. "It was Boston exploring Anfernee Simons' market and seeing what they could potentially get, in addition to freeing up money that would've been utilized on Dame. No trade ever materialized because Lillard wasn't going to Boston." Lillard decided to return to the Portland Trail Blazers instead of joining the Celtics. The Celtics and Grizzlies have been trade partners in recent years, including when Boston sent Marcus Smart to Memphis in 2023 and when Memphis sent Boston Xavier Tillman in 2024.
