US President-elect Joe Biden addressed the major cyber attack on US government agencies apparently carried out by the Russians, and accused outgoing President Donald Trump of removing US defenses from cyber attacks.

"This attack took place on Trump's watch, as he failed to supervise the situation," asserted Biden, adding that his administration would take significant steps to deal with the attack.
